Our Physicians

Linda M. Gaudiani MD, FACP, FACE began practicing endocrinology and diabetology in Marin County in 1985 after completing fellowship and board certification in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetology at UCSF Medical Center, where she is now Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine. She graduated from Boston University School of Medicine then completed her medical internship at Boston City Hospital, an NIH Fellowship at Berkeley, California and medical residency at Stanford University Medical Center.

Dr Gaudiani has been in practice and on staff at Marin General Hospital since 1985 and in full time practice at Marin Endocrine since establishing her partnership with Dr. Bernstein in 1988.

Dr Gaudiani has served as President of the Marin Chapter of the American Diabetes Association, has established diabetes-teaching programs. Presently she continues her endocrine consultant practice and co-directs the bone density services as well as the research department at MECR.

Dr Gaudiani is a frequent lecturer and hospital consultant and was elected a Fellow of both the American College of Physicians (FACP) and American College of Clinical Endocrinologists (FACE). She enjoys her teacher/mentor role for medical students at UCSF who rotate through the office as part of their Longitudinal Clinical experience course.

She is also involved in numerous community activities, especially musical theater and the many activities related to raising her four children. She loves water sports, hiking, jogging, reading and in her off hours savors good conversations with friends and home cooked meals.

Richard Bernstein MD, FACE has been practicing endocrinology in Marin since 1974. He received his training at New York University School of Medicine and his subspecialty was completed at UCSF Medical Center where he is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine as well as Endocrinology and Metabolism. Dr Bernstein has been on staff at Marin General Hospital since 1974 and has served as president of the Marin Chapter of the American Diabetes Association. He initiated our growing clinical research program and co-directs the bone density services. He is a member of the professional section of the American Diabetes Association and a member of the American College of Clinical Endocrinologists. He is an active lecturer on diabetes.
