Welcome to Marin Endocrine Care and Research, Inc. Our website is designed to outline our medical backgrounds and the services that we offer. It also provides procedural information we hope will be helpful to you as our patient. We hope an understanding of our goals and policies will assist in providing you with the best in personalized care. We believe such care results from teamwork between physician, patient and staff. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of medical care possible in a supportive environment. We see patients on a physician as well as self referral basis.

Marin Endocrine Care and Research was established in 1988 to provide consulting care to patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders. We provide state of the art diabetes management, as well as evaluation and treatment of thyroid diseases, parathyroid disorders, menopause, menstrual disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome, pituitary and adrenal dysfunction, obesity and male hormone deficiency. We are experienced in the diagnoses and treatment of osteoporosis and are certified bone densitometrists with a state of the art Lunar bone densitometer.

Our research department is nationally respected and enables our patients to participate in relevant clinical trials of promising pharmaceuticals within our specialty. "Safety, efficacy and utility" is our research standard.

We also offer diverse medical nutritional evaluations and therapies for both primary obesity, diabetes and other metabolic disorders. Total body composition measurements are also available.

Appointments for consultation with our doctors and dietitian, follow up visits or bone densities can be made directly by phoning our reception desk of by physician referrals. The receptionists are available to take your calls and answer your questions during the hours of 9-12 and 2-5 Monday - Friday. You may be asked to leave a brief message in voice mail when our staff is busy assisting patients. Your call will be returned in a timely manner. Please state if your call is urgent. For any medical emergencies, please call 911.

It is helpful to bring any prior medical records to your upcoming consultation or to have your referring physician fax any pertinent history and lab results directly to our office.
